My father who lived to be over 90 would often tell me, "do as much as you can for as long as you can" and I have sort of adopted his mantra. I am in the eight week of Tai Chi and loving every moment. I practiced in the park one early morning with a few of my friends and felt renewed. The silence all around me and the precise movements awakened my entire being. I fully understood at that moment what my dad meant. Next week, I begin my Mandarin lessons again and I am looking forward to another new challenge. And with that, I remind myself of one of my own mantras, "it is better in life to make things happen rather than wonder what happened".
